Welcoming the 2026 Dual Impact Internship Program Participants!

Last month, we kicked off the fourth cohort of our Dual Impact Internship Program with 11 college students interning at 6 companies across sustainability, green energy, bioengineering, healthcare, and technology.

Each of these students is a first-generation or low-income college student from different parts of New York City, spanning the Bronx to Bayside. They represent a range of universities, including Cornell University, Baruch College, and Rice University, and their majors span neuroscience, business administration, mechanical engineering, and more. This was one of our most competitive cycles yet, with over 200 applications. This cohort is spending eight weeks earning real wages, building real skills, and working alongside professionals who are investing in their futures. None of this happens without the employers and funders who believe in what these students can do.

In particular, we want to thank Con Edison, whose partnership has been an anchor of our tech and climate placements and continues to open doors for our students as they enter a workforce that will define the next decade of clean energy in this city. Each placement reinforces something we've long understood: these students were never lacking in talent. What they lacked was the opportunity to prove it and the resources to make that opportunity possible.
